The School of Economics and Management has won the National Teaching Achievement Award as well as provincial and ministerial-level awards such as the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, and the Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Excellent Achievement Award.

Every year, the school produces successive and fruitful outputs in the academic field. So far, the school has hosted dozens of National Social Science Foundation projects and Natural Science Foundation projects, as well as provincial and ministerial-level projects, including the Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences projects. Hundreds of papers have been published in authoritative journals, first-level journals, and important indexed journals such as SSCI, SCI, and CSSCI. The school has published dozens of monographs.

In 2021, SEM formed the Country Research Team on Industrial and Technological Innovation Policies in German-speaking Countries. Relying on the resources and experience of the university’s nearly 40 years of cooperation with German institutions, the team will provide social services for the economic development of Zhejiang as well as for the development of local Chinese and German enterprises.
