The International Program in International Economics and Trade, which started enrollment in 2009, is the first English-taught Bachelor Program in Economics and Management in Zhejiang Province. It is a new attempt at internationalization in our university. This program follows the international mainstream curriculum for international economics and trade majors, while also incorporating Chinese characteristics. It is open to both domestic and international students and adopts a mixed class format with Chinese and foreign students, teaching in English. The program aims to cultivate applied senior specialists with the ability to solve practical problems and engage in cross-cultural communication.
The program has designed a "multi-campus" learning mode, and through the mutual recognition of credits, it has established joint cultivation with several partner institutions in Germany, Switzerland, and Romania. This major and the International Business major at Hannover University of Applied Sciences in Germany are jointly established majors. Students in this major can apply for two semesters of study at Hannover University of Applied Sciences during their study period. Those who meet the requirements can obtain degrees from both the Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and the Hannover University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
